Things are going great so far. Abigail is a great eater and sleeper, we are really lucking out this time! Still in the hospital and may stay one more night leaving tomorrow??? Mercy-Gilbert is the bomb! We have had a great experience, hence even "electing" to stay one more night...and this from me who wanted to be sent home the same day if I went into regular labor:) Our room is like a little hotel room and the nurse are fantastic! We are getting the royal treatment and each day I feel like I am getting a little better in the pain control dept. At first the spinal had pain meds that lasted through the next day and although I basically had zero pain I was pretty pukey...then that wore off and I went to some IV and pill form pain meds....no more puking, but pretty sore at the incision site...each day this is better and the nurses all tell me I am doing so much better than most other pt's they've had c-section:) That's a huge compliment to me since usually I am such a wimp...but I prove not to be when I have babies...who knew:)
Both sets of grandparents have been here since Thursday....they both got here not too long after Abigail's arrival and have been staying at the house with Cody (who is in heaven with both sets of grandparents spoiling the heck out of him:) Cody has been to the hospital each day for a few hours and I am beginning to think I am going to have to fight him more than the grandparents for a turn to hold Abigail:) We lucked out tremendously because the respiratory restrictions were still in effect when we came in Thursday, which means kids under 12 would not be able to come onto the unit (meaning Cody would not have been able to come see me or Abigail this whole time). BUT, God is good, and as I was in recovery after the c-section all the nurses phones and pagers get a text message "restrictions have been lifted" YEAH! Could not have planned it any better if I tried (I am learning....God plans it better than I ever could, so I am hands-off life planner at this point letting Him take the reins.....took me long enough to learn that!)
Some fun Cody quotes:
I thought she was a girl (I think he expected pony tail girl hair:)
She smells funny
Can I see her belly button AGAIN
Her pee pee is really small
More picts and updates to come. For now we are going to work on getting settled home tomorrow. My parents are leaving back home today (Sat) and Scott's Dad is driving back home tomorrow (Sun) .Grammy Terri (Scott's mom) is going to stay this week with me and fly back home on Weds. My mom will be returning back after that for a few days and Scott will have 5 days off too...he's debating about spreading those days out if the moms don't overlap or taking them this whole week at the same time...
Well soon be up for visitors so well keep ya posted, maybe by the end of this week or the weekend. Cant wait to share this special girl with you all!!!
