Count down to Disney

So if you notice all the Disney inspired blog decor, the google bar of Disney Christmas Carols (above) and Disney photos, it's because we are going for Christmas! Plans are to spend a week in CA with Grammy and Pappy for the Christmas season and take Cody to Disney CA Adventure for the first time! YEAH! We can't wait! Stay tuned in for pictures to come!

Merry Christmas Letter

This year has been quite the whirlwind, but we end it praising God for our family, health and the enormous amount of love in this house!

Wendy- I started my new job at St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center and it has been the change I needed all along....less stress, hours that let me spend more time with BOTH Cody and Scott, and no more paying for daycare! I am still cracking the whip, and trust me putting elbow grease in too, on finishing projects around the house. More before-and-after pictures to come after the 1st of the year. I have also become quite the cook:) Ya, I know many of you are shocked! Now with the extra time, and such a little helper in the kitchen, I am "googling" recipes and I have also found this great co-op food buying group. Here's this link if any of you in AZ want to check it out...some of you already use it for buying your fruits and veggies...it's an amazing savings! http://bountifulbaskets.org/ So that is the happenings with me. Not a whole lot, and man I am loving it that way!

Scott- Still at QC High. Believe it or not I'm now one of the most Sr. Math Teachers there! I've been able to catch a couple of D-backs games (still an Angels fan though... and making sure Cody will be too...watch the video below), even a Sun's game too...with seats 9 rows up from the court! Of course I am working on getting Cody into the game too as we hit baseballs (even before bed) and the warm up often includes body slamming momma:) Now with Wendy's hours changed, Cody and I get some good quality time after I get home from school, which of course involves dirt, mud, shoveling, hoses, brooms, and occasionally horse poop....hahahaha. Life is good, I can't complain!

*Scott, Cody, Cousin Dylan and (almost) Wendy at a D-Backs game (Pa-Pa, Nana and Uncle Jason came down for a family baseball game*

Cody- 2 1/2 years now and the biggest blessing in our lives that you could imagine! Yes, he is still two and of course there are the moments of "I do it" that take 5 hours longer than if he would just let us help him, but all in all the most go with the flow, loving, kind-hearted, little "big boy" who we just adore. For his first year of life we were crazy...he had colic, reflux, wouldn't breastfeed well, had chronic ear infections and was on $30 a can formula...
Now he is the happiest, healthiest (I should say so, he is a whopping 42 lbs, wearing 5T clothes and size 11 shoes, yep he's a Wilcox), amazing boy we could every ask for!

Jake- Turning 25 years old in March... and still as young as the day I got him (he was 8 years old by the way)! Loving the pasture life...and having a little boy who loves to feed him treats:) There are plans to get Jake a buddy soon so I can start taking Cody horse back riding! Jake has a bit of arthritis and it's just too hard on him to saddle him up and ride. He can continue with his life of leisure and just get Ponied (walked along side the horse I am riding).

Daisy- The new addition! A little Sheppard-mix who found her way to our home. She has been great with Cody and a good addition to our family. She is growing like a weed and that is good for us. She can still fit through the slats in our gate if she really tries, but I guess she must enjoy it here as she does it very rarely...and comes back quickly. And, even though she wants to rub dog hair on me on my way to work, she has really been a good little dog!

*Look at these leaves on the ground...who says AZ doesn't have seasons:)

Extended Family-Miss them terribly!!! Of course the distance keeps us from seeing both sides of our family as often as we want, but we all have our health...and each other...and the rest can't hold a candle to that!

Love to you all this Christmas Season! And Blessings for the New Year!
Wendy, Scott, Cody, Jake and Daisy:)

youtube fanatic

Boy things have changed, now while I blow dry my hair Cody navigates youtube for his favorite animals/charecters...I remember when he use to sit in his exersaucer outside the shower just babbling at me. Now I hear "mama, special numbers please," meaning sign into the computer for me (after he turns on the computer himself). Wow, time does fly! Check out the youtube bars below for some of his recent favorites:)

Big Boy Bed Complete

The Big Boy room transformation is complete....and by the looks of it Cody (Woody and Buzz too) seem to like it:) So far, after we figured out we were being manipulated (I need this, I need that, one more book, lay with me, don't leave me, etc., etc.) Cody is sleeping through the night in his new big boy bed. He has slept all night through the previous three nights in it, but the putting down process (now that he can get up, not like his crib) was quite an extensive process. I have to say though with only three nights in his new bed Cody is adjusting tremendously well!

Amazing Jakes

Our church rented out this place (kind of like Chuck E Cheese on steroids) for a portion of the evening last night. We took Cody and invited my friend Jessica and her two adorable girls Miranda and Savannah with us. I am sure all the kids had a blast (ours included), but all the parents (us included) walked out with a glazed-over look on our faces and exhausted:) Probably a place that Cody would better enjoy in his pre-teen years as he couldn't go on some of the coolest things like the Go-Kart race track and rock climbing wall...although of course those were the things he actually wanted to do:)

Get those Alligators!

Smile Savannah!

Smile Cody!

Too Funny!!!!
