A New Truck for Scott

So my wonderful husband traded in his new GMC truck in on a great, reliable car for me when Cody was born 5 years ago! Such a family man, such a man of sacrifice! I admire him so much! And have been so appreciative of his sacrifice for this family! The "Beast" has served us well, but it's time to reward this wonderful man with a reliable vechicle of his own...um, one with air conditioning:)

Some 1st's and a little fun in August

Cody lost his 1st tooth! Funny note, he would like the Tooth Fairy to leave the money, oh and the tooth too:) Although, I am glad for that request because I have a memory box that was just waiting for this occasion:)

Cody goes to Kindergarten!

My little sleeping in man had to get use to a 7:00 wake up call....rough! (for me too!!!!)

And were off! I love that Cody has a Starbucks cup in his hand...it's milk though people, although both of us I think could have used the kick of coffee that morning:)

These two poems were given by his teacher Mrs. Strickland.....as if I needed anything else to get the water works going  (I  did hold it together the whole time I was in Cody's sight though:)

Spying through the window for a bit before I left...loved seeing my little man recite the Pledge of Allegiance!

A couple days later he took the bus to school for the 1st time. Funny, we actually missed it many mornings as our driver doesn't really stop for more than 2 seconds and then off they go....he now takes it home from school only and I drive him in each morning....a much smoother day this way:) Cody loves riding home with his friend Gage (who was in his pre-k class last year, they have become quite the good friends:)

A new hair cut, and he is ready for Kindergarten to begin....I am not:(

Big(er) Boy Bed:)

In preparation for Cody starting Kindergarten, we upgraded his 1st Big Boy Bed for a Biger Boy Bed with more storage (including some shelves out of reach of Abigail:), and a desk. I was a little worried about a loft bed, but he has done great and he loves it!

 A place for everything...and everything in it's place:)
