So we went for our ultrasound at our docs yesterday and got some crazy, but exciting news that is making us regroup and think PINK! Let's back up a bit......for all who know me, you know my impatience and OCDness. At 15 weeks I just could not wait till my Dec apt. to find out the sex of the baby so I made an apt. at a private ultrasound place to find out early (no really a recommendation I would make now:) But we got a a great DVD of the baby and some cool 3D picts. so all in all not that bad...........BUT, they told us we were having a boy.............AND in fact WE ARE HAVING A GIRL!!!!!
At our ultrasound yesterday it was clear as a bell that this not so shy boy we thought we were having is indeed, without a glimmer of a doubt A GIRL!!!!!
Here's how that went....
Ultrasound Tech: Do you want to know the sex? (we didn't tell her we had the other ultrasound not wanting to sway anything and just see what she saw...
Us: YES
Tech: It's a GIRL
Us: WHAT
Us: Silent....
Tech: Are you happy?
Us: Yes, just shocked....we tell her about the other ultrasound
Tech: Well let me just assure you there are no questions about this...don't think oh maybe it is a boy even so.....this is a GIRL, no doubts about that...
Me: crying....I really don't know why?? Shock, hormones....what do we tell Cody now? He thinks he is having a brother....more crying......
Us: Call our parents...Are you sitting down? Carter is a GIRL!
Parents: WHAT....followed by screams of excitement:)
Us: Go to Babies R US to register, all the way there saying okay this will not be a spoiled princess, pink girl.....yes totally agree with each other
Us at Babies R US: Scan the pink one, don't you want the pink one of those? hahahahahaha
But, we are still holding true on the princess, this girl may be spoiled:) But will not ever go by princess...we clear on that grandparents??? :)
So there you have it! A crazy and exciting Monday where we find out our boy is indeed a GIRL! No wonder I was soooooooo sick!
