California and The Wilcox Reunion

So each year before Thanksgiving the clan gets together for lots of fun and lots of food.  We missed last year so were glad we got to go this year. So glad to see everyone, and for everyone to meet Abigail as well! Here's the 1st pict. of the trip (at 5:30pm) with a smiley girl...this was not the case for most of the trip (and I  mean everyone up-happy at some point) considering we arrived at Grammy and Pappy's at 2:00am!!! Longest car ride to Cali to date I think...the runner up was taking Cody after he was 1st born (pumping with the car adapter and poopy diapers). Both trips were stressful and tiring, but worth it once we got there:)

I have a cup of snacks and I'm ready to roll!
The 1st morning at Grammy and Pappy's, hanging out with my feet up, waiting for this party to get started
Watching some cartoons with Cody (and I use that word "watching" loosely, she sat for all of two seconds while I snapped this picture..
Cody and Grandpa Ken playing checkers
Abigail trying out some crochet

Pappy and the two silliest Grand-kids ever!

Abigail scoping out a game of checkers with the Cousins
Well, it poured and poured and poured rain while we were there, so Sunday when the kids were going stir crazy  we took Pappy and headed to Castle Park for some fun in the indoor arcade....hmmm, I think we have seen Abigail in this same pose at a previous Chuck E Cheese trip:) Guess she found it to be to her advantage:)
Pappy and Cody racing on the motorcycles
Game anyone???
This is where the 3 boys spent most of the time "tranquilizing" the dinosaurs:)
Walking to Miniature Golf Course (a bit too cold to stay for a game, but we checked out a few things and the kids loved snacking on popcorn and cotton candy...of course compliments of the Pappy:)
Ooops! Caught me with my hand in the popcorn cup again:)
The fam:) Cody looks thrilled for ANOTHER picture doesn't he?!
Walking the bridge with Pappy
Abigail LOVES to feed the doggies some cookies!
And of course, the famous concoction making time with Grammy! Cody takes all sorts of things from the pantry and fridge to make some curious looking recipes that no one will dare to try (well, Uncle Sean will sometimes! ) Only at the Grandparents house can you make such a mess and be encouraged to do so LOL!
Almost home!
And happy to be home!

Cody's 1st Field Trip

Cody's 1st Kindergarten Field Trip to Superstition Farms and Desert Mountain Park and I was lucky enough to be able to go along as a chaperon! We had such a fun day, tasting flavored milk (Cody had Cherry and I had Pistachio:) Yum! We had a Hay Ride and toured the cows, visited the petting zoo and fed the animals, had lunch and played hard at the park. Needless to say we were exhausted! But it was a great day to get to hang with my boy, just the two of us, and also to get to know his teacher and friends at school better:) Can't wait for the next one!

My group of boys...waiting for the bus

These two had a fabulous time!

Aidan's 1st Birthday Party

Go figure, our friends little boy's 1st Birthday party....and do I get any pictures of the Birthday Boy???  Or the awesome Where the Wild Things Are theme???  No! Total dork! But in true Mommy fashion, I did get plenty of Abigail in her cupcake costume (it was a dress up party)

Abigail having her 1st loli-pop (and quite enjoying it I might add) with my friend Sonja's little girl, Ella.  Can you  believe it?! She really is the 2nd child, I think Cody was at least 2 before he had his first piece of candy! Thank you to the kind man who handed Abigail a bag of pinata candy so she wasn't left out...I mean even though she wasn't even near the pinata, or even cared about what was coming out of it:) {LOL}
